ST. CLOUD - The national weather service reported a high of 94 degrees for St. Cloud this afternoon. The record was set at 2:52 p.m. breaking the previous record of 93 degrees in 1937.

A heat advisory took effect at noon today and continues through midnight on Tuesday. The heat index is expected to to reach 98 to 109 in central Minnesota while this advisory is in effect.
