ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud school district has passed the 10,000 student enrollment mark for the first time in over ten years.

Recently released enrollment numbers show that 10,196 students enrolled in district schools and programs this year. This is up from 9,958 students from last year.

District 742 hasn't had over 10,000 students enrolled since 2002. The enrollment numbers include schools, special education sites and the Area Learning Center.

Thanks to the recent upswing in enrollment, the district will be expanding Clearview Elementary, Kennedy Community School and North Junior High for the next school year.
