ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud School District 742 is listening to the thoughts of the community today on how to improve the education system at the World Cafe Event.

The event is a way to gather ideas about what works well at our schools and what should be considered for the coming years.

St. Cloud Area Schools superintendent Willie Jett says it's important to hear what concerns or ideas the community has for their educational systems.

"We really wanted to hear all voices and listen to what values or ideas they had to offer for our educational systems."

The event is designed for small group conversations, providing a chance to learn from one another.

"What they will do is have a table top conversation in a small group, then move to another group and listen to those thoughts and share their perspectives."

Jett says the overall goal of the World Cafe is to understand what the public wants, so they can plan for next year.

Another World Cafe event will be held tonight from 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Parents, students and the community are welcomed to attend.
