ST. CLOUD - School lunch prices will be a tad bit more expensive in District 742 starting in the 2014-2015 school year.

Lunches will be 10 cents more.

Federal law passed in 2010 requires schools to charge a minimum weighted average price for paid lunches.

Executive Director of Business Services, Kevin Januszewski, says the district would still be 12 cents behind the average price level with the increase.

Schools who don't meet the minimum price are required to annually increase prices by 10 cents until it's reached.

Starting this fall, elementary lunch prices will be $2.50, secondary prices will be $2.70, and an adult lunch will be $3.85.  Breakfast prices are not changing.
