ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Rox baseball team had another strong season, not just on the field, but off it as well.

During the 2015 season, the St. Cloud Rox raised over $23,000 for area non-profits, such as the American Cancer Society, Tri-County Human Society, youth baseball and more.

Rox Co-owner Scott Schreiner says every year they continue to emphasis giving back the community.

"We're part of the community and everybody is a big part of it. From our corporate partners, our season ticket holders, fans they all play a big part in bringing Rox baseball to what it is," says Schreiner.

In addition to raising funds, Rox staff, coaches and players totaled over 700 combined volunteer hours visiting local nursing homes, libraries, and summer camps getting to know fans of all ages.

Schreiner says volunteering is just as important to the players as it is to the fans.

"We've been very fortunate to have great players and coaches that are willing to give back and they understand a lot of kids are looking up to them as role models," says Schreiner.

The Rox will open their 5th season of Northwoods League baseball in late May of 2016.
