ST. CLOUD - It's been a few months since St. Cloud switched over to a single-sort recycling system.

Public Services Director Pat Shea says they don't have any solid numbers yet, but they're expecting to see an increase in recycling participation rates.

Shea says the biggest concern from residents is the size of the new recycling bins.

Shea says the city decided to go with the bigger carts to try to encourage more recycling.  He says they may consider offering other sizes next year.

Shea says they started the new recycling system this fall, so residents could get used to if before winter, when there will be the extra challenge of snow piles while placing the recycling bins.

Shea will be updating the St. Cloud City Council on the new recycling system, during tonight's (Monday) work study session.
