St. Cloud Police to Increase Downtown Patrols This Weekend

ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Police Department will have extra officers patrolling downtown St. Cloud this weekend.

Police Chief Blair Anderson says they became aware of an event called "St. Cloud: The Takeover" which will bus people from the Twin Cities to St. Cloud and back.

Chief Anderson says they invite people to enjoy their time in St. Cloud but has instructed his officers to take a zero tolerance approach with anyone who breaks the law.

Chief Anderson says he doesn't want residents to be super alarmed.  He says the St. Cloud police department increases their presence downtown normally on the weekends.
