St. Cloud Police Respond to Early Morning Crash on University Drive

ST. CLOUD — St. Cloud police responded to a two car crash at about 12:30 a.m. (Saturday).

The incident happened at University Drive and 9th Avenue South.

24-year-old Zachary Harper, of St. Cloud, attempted to make a left turn going East on University Drive when he hit another vehicle at the intersection.

The driver of the other vehicle was an 18-year-old woman.

When police arrived, Haper agreed to take a breath test, which revealed his intoxication levels were almost three times the legal limits.

Harper was arrested and is being held at the Stearns County Jail.

He is facing charges of 3rd degree DUI and failing to yield.

The driver of the other vehicle went to the hospital on her own for treatment of neck pain.
