ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police are investigating a reported assault near Lake George early yesterday (Tuesday).

At about 2:45 a.m. staff at St. Cloud Hospital made a mandatory report that they were caring for a woman who said she received injuries from an attack involving a knife.

The 20-year-old woman from Shafer, Minnesota did not want to make a police report, but said an unknown white suspect attacked her, and then ran away.

Two men men driving by in a white car helped her and brought her to the emergency room. The victim has cuts to both her face and arms.

Officers went to Lake George but have not been able to find any witnesses, or determine the specific location where the attack happened. They also haven't been able to find the two men who brought the victim to the hospital.

The St. Cloud police department is asking for anyone with any information about the incident to contact them, specifically the two good samaritans.
