St. Cloud Police Find Stolen Vehicle, Passed Out Man At Stop Sign

ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police recovered a stolen vehicle, with a man allegedly passed out behind the wheel.

The incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. this (Sunday) morning at a stop sign at the intersection of 13th Street and 9th Avenue South.

Twenty-two-year-old David Booth of St. Cloud was found passed out behind the wheel.

Officers positioned squad cars in front and back of the vehicle prior to attempting to wake the driver, in effort to avoid a vehicle pursuit.  When officers woke Booth up, he drove forward, causing damage to a marked patrol vehicle.

Booth is being held at the Stearns County Jail, and is facing charges of possession of a stole motor vehicle, 4th degree DUI (controlled substance), and driving after suspension.

The vehicle was turned over to Waite Park police, as they were the original reporting agency for the stolen vehicle.
