St. Cloud Police Arrest Man After Report Of Alleged Assault In A Vehicle

ST. CLOUD - A Willmar man has been arrested in St. Cloud after getting a possible domestic assault call.

The caller says they thought they witnessed an assault in another vehicle near 1st Street/29th Avenue South at about 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The caller also says they saw the man handling what appeared to be a rifle. Officers arrested 24-year-old Joel Medellin for being a felon in possession of a gun. Officers also recovered two pellet rifles from the vehicle.

The investigation could not determine whether an assault had taken place.
