ST. CLOUD - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud metro area went up last month. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says we're now at 3.7 percent. That's up from the three percent we were at in November.

The report says 840 more people filed unemployment claims in December, compared to November.

As for other regional cities around the state, Mankato is at 2.5 percent, Rochester is at 2.9 percent, the Twin Cities is at 3.1 percent, and Duluth has the highest unemployment rate at 5.5 percent.
