UNDATED - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud metro area dipped in July.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says the local unemployment rate is now at 5.2 percent.  That's down from 5.5 percent in June.

Compared to other metro areas in Minnesota, we're doing better than Duluth, which is at 6.5 percent.  But, we have a higher unemployment rate than Rochester at 4.3 percent, Mankato at 4.5 percent, and the Twin Cities at 4.9 percent.

The statewide unemployment rate is 5.2 percent, and the national rate is 7.4 percent.
