St. Cloud Mayor Calls On Task Force To Look At Police Department Efficiencies [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD – St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis wants to make sure the police department is running as efficiently as possible.  He’s reconvening the Government Efficiency Task Force to look at the department.

He says he wants to make sure the police department is reaching it’s goals.

Kleis last used the task force five years ago, to look at the city’s overall budget.

The chair of the task force then was Brian Myers, he’ll also be heading it up this time around.

Last (Monday) night the city council approved putting $240,000 in a contingency fund to be used to finance any changes that the task force suggests.

Kleis says the they’ll get to work later this month, and are expected to have their recommendations by early next year.
