ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after an incident where he made threats against against two children and two adults.

According to the criminal complaint, a woman was moving her belongings from a home in North St. Cloud last January when her live-in boyfriend, 42-year-old Kent Schuette, arrived and started making threats.

Records show Schuette brandished a butterfly knife and chased two children at the scene with the knife. The kids were able to lock themselves safely inside a van. Schuette then allegedly slashed a tire on the van and threatened to burn the house down. He also threatened a man who was helping Schuette’s girlfriend move.

The four victims left and went to a different home. Schuette then allegedly drove by that house at least 10 times and made a gesture with his hand to indicate it was a gun and he would shoot the male friend.

According to court documents Schuette admitted to using methamphetamine.
