ST. CLOUD - A man was arrested in South St. Cloud on Friday after running from police and for possession of methamphetamine.

Police say they found 45-year-old Zachary Taylor driving a black Pontiac Grad Prix in St. Cloud. Taylor had three active warrants, two for felony level drug offenses and one for gross misdemeanor.

Taylor pulled into the Super America at 4045 2nd Street South and pulled up to a gas pump. A Deputy pulled into the lot and parked behind Taylor. The Gran Prix then started to drive away, the car stopped a short time later and Taylor left the vehicle and ran from officers.

Taylor ran through the Granite City Food and Brewery and fell outside of the business, breaking his arm in the process.

Taylor was arrested and taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment on his arm.

Officers searched Taylor's vehicle and found over two grams of methamphetamine and a large amount of cash.

Taylor was taken to the Stearns County Jail after treatment on the three warrants and new charges for 5th degree controlled substance possession, driving after cancellation and for fleeing police on foot.
