St. Cloud Man Arrested For Allegedly Hitting, Choking His Wife

ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police have arrested a 46-year-old man for allegedly attacking his wife.

They say Bryan Pritchett hit the woman with the handle of a knife, causing a cut to her head.  The injury did not require stitches.

He's also accused of choking her, preventing her from screaming or breathing.  She was eventually able to get away and call police for help.

Pritchett is believed to be severely drunk at the time.

He's being held in the Stearns County Jail and is expected to be charged with 2nd Degree Assault, Domestic Assault by Strangulation, Interference with a 911 Call, and Gross Misdemeanor Domestic Assault.

The incident happened in the 1300 block of 6th Street North at about 11:00 p.m. last (Monday) night.
