St. Cloud Man Arrested After Alleged Robbery in Waite Park

WAITE PARK - A St. Cloud man has been arrested for an alleged robbery in Waite Park.

Officers responded to a call of a robbery in the area of 8th Avenue and 2nd Street North in Waite Park at about 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The victim says he was walking when the suspect got out of the passenger side of a car, punched him several times, and knocked him to the ground.  The suspect took some cash out of the victim's wallet and left.

The victim and the suspect are acquaintances.

At about 12:30 a.m. this (Tuesday) morning, St. Cloud police made an arrest in the case.  Twenty-year-old Devon McBridge of St. Cloud is being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of Robbery and Third Degree Assault.
