ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Fire Department responded to a house fire that destroyed an upstairs bedroom early this (Thursday) afternoon.

Battalion Fire Chief Jerry Raymond, says the incident happened at 741 17th Avenue South. The fire started in the upstairs bedroom, five people were home at the time of the fire, all escaped the fire without injuries.

The rest of the house is okay, but the upstairs bedroom is destroyed. The estimated damage cost is $48,500.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
