ST. CLOUD - Yesterday's (Wednesday) official high in St. Cloud was 82 degrees.  That's the coolest we've been since June 26th.

The three-week-long hot spell in St. Cloud is beat only by 26 days of 85 degrees or more back in 1936, and 34 days in 1921. The last time we had a high temperature here in St. Cloud below 85 degrees was back on June 26th.

But National Weather Service forecaster Shawn DeVinny says despite very muggy overnight lows on several days -- most notably the 4th of July -- Minnesota did not come close to breaking any records.

And, our break from the extremely hot temperatures is going to be short lived.  We're expected to be back up in the upper 80's and lower 90's today, continuing into next week.
