ST. CLOUD -- Stuffed monkeys are being used to help sick children at St. Cloud Hospital Children's Center.  They've started a new program called "There's A Monkey In My Chair".

Child Life Specialist Rachel Calvert says each child is provided with a "monkey kit" -- including a large toy monkey -- that goes to school when the child can't be there.

Calvert says the monkey helps the class deal with the absence of their classmate, and it also gives the sick child a way to stay connected to their friends.

St. Cloud Hospital is looking for donations to help pay for these "monkey kits".  If you'd like to help, you can contact the hospital's Health Foundation.

The program developed by the Love, Chloe Foundation and was created by Heidi Feyerherm in memory of her daughter, Chloe, whoe died from brain cancer in 2007.
