St. Cloud Hospital Lights up Thursday Night
ST. CLOUD -- The nearly three-decade tradition continues Thursday night as the St. Cloud Hospital will be decked out in holiday cheer.
The 29th Annual Festival of Lights is free and open to the public from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Chris Nelson, a Communications Specialist with the hospital says they expect a big turnout, along the same number as last years.
"Last year, we had a huge turnout. But it was very warm last year, [for this year] I'd guess 400 - 500 [people]."
Nelson adds this year they have something very special ready to go for the first time, so patients can experience the lighting event too.
"For the first time this year we have the equipment now to broadcast it into their TVs, so they'll be able to lay in bed and watch the lighting and that's pretty exciting for us."
In addition to the lighting at 7:00 p.m. the hospital's lined up horse-drawn trolley rides, reindeer, and holiday carols by the Tech High School Chamber Choir. Cookies and cocoa will be available as well.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation to the food shelf.
The Gorecki Guest House across the street will also be lit up for the holidays.
