ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud area school district is dealing with a shortage of school bus drivers again.

District 742 is looking to fill about 10 to 15 school bus driver positions before classes swing back into session. District Transportation Supervisor Scott Dahlin says there are several benefits to the job.

"You get to goof off with kids all day and you get your summers and holidays off: that's really nice to some people, they love that work schedule."

The district had a harder time finding drivers last year. Dahlin says they needed to fill about 20-25 positions last summer.

District 742 is also hosting a job fair on Thursday, August 18th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. On-site interviews will be available for bus driver positions.

In a previous interview, Dahlin told WJON that there are around 9,000 students who take district buses to and from school each day.
