ST. CLOUD -- The Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation will relocate to the historic First National Bank building in 2016.

The First National Bank of St. Cloud, which was built in 1889, is considered to be one of the best designed and most preserved buildings in the state and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

"It's great to have [the GSDC] in a newly renovated historic building in the core of a newly renovated historic downtown," said Mayor Dave Kleis in a statement released to the media.

The GSDC promotes economic development in the St. Cloud area -- including contributing to the planning of downtown St. Cloud.

The First National Bank building is located at 501 West Saint Germain Street in St. Cloud.
