St. Cloud Defense Lawyer Named to Long Prairie Judgeship

ST. PAUL -- A St. Cloud lawyer has been appointed to fill a judgeship in Long Prairie.

Daniel Benson is a member of the Benson Law Office in St. Cloud and part-time Assistant Public Defender for the Seventh Judicial District.

Benson was appointed by Governor Mark Dayton to replace Judge Peter Irvine.

Becker County Attorney Michael Fritz has been appointed to fill a Seventh District bench vacancy in Moorhead.

The Seventh Judicial District includes Becker, Benton, Clay, Douglas, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Otter Tail, Stearns Todd and Wadena Counties.
