ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud city council made changes to two of the city's liquor ordinances on Monday night, and they'll be looking at another one this coming Monday.

During their work study session on Monday, the city council will review the city's ordinance on drink specials.  City Attorney Matt Staehling says they'll be discussing drink specials and promotions that promote drinking to excess.  Some examples would be drinking games like beer pong and tippy cup, Hi Ho Silver - where any silver coin buys a drink, and wristband night.

Staehling says they're are not outlawing Happy Hour, and things like 2 for 1's and other reduced drink specials would most likely still be allowed.

Because the council meeting on Monday is just a work study session, no final decisions will be made.

The discussion of drink specials first came up in 2010, which the council did not act on at that time.  The Hospitality Association said they would instead police themselves.
