ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud City Council has given the city attorney more time to work out a new agreement with Charter Communications.

Matt Staehling says recent negotiations between the two sides have been productive.

Earlier this month the council approved a resolution to enforce the franchise agreement, requiring the cable TV company to move the PEG - public access channels - back to their original locations by October 10th. The new compliance deadline has been moved back to the end of November.

The city council also voted to extend the overall franchise agreement with Charter to the end of the year. It was scheduled to expire at the end of this month.
