ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud Cathedral is planning a major upgrade.  However, just exactly what that means hasn't been established yet.

Goal #9 of their Master Plan 2018 addresses their campus and facilities.

President Mike Mullin says the last time they improved the academic facilities was in 1957, and the last time anything major was done was in 1967 when they built the gymnasium.

Mullin says they are currently in the pre-design stage.  He says everything is on the table, including renovation, expansion, and building a new high school.

They plan to have a design plan ready by this spring, with the project completed by June 30th, 2018.

Mullin says they're asking for alumni, parishioners, and members of the community for their input.

There is a planning session today from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  It's open to anyone who has an interest in the future of Cathedral.

St. Cloud Cathedral is in its 129th year.  It has 625 students in grades 7 through 12.
