St. Cloud Area Students to Help Launch “We” Program in Minneapolis

Ashli Gerdes

ST. CLOUD – St. Cloud students are traveling to Minneapolis tomorrow for an international event.

Students from St. Cloud area schools will be participating in the launch of a project aimed at inspiring civic engagement among youth.

Students at Cathedral, St. Cloud Tech High School and North Junior High are invited to the event in Minneapolis because of their involvement in the “We-Act” program.

Since becoming “We-Act” schools, area students have collected food for local food shelves, raised money for clean water projects and participated in additional volunteer efforts in St. Cloud.

The initiative is coordinated by Free The Children, an international civic organization based in Toronto.

“We-Act and We-Day Minnesota” will take place tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10-11 a.m., at Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis.
