ST. CLOUD - A new craft burger and beer restaurant is ready to open on Monday in downtown St. Cloud.

7 West Taphouse has moved into the former Electric Fetus building at 28 5th Avenue South (they closed in May 2014). Co-owner Ray Harrington says they gutted the building while trying to maintain the historic look and atmosphere.

"It turned out nice. A lot of brick in here and nice woodwork. Sure, we threw some sheetrock up but not enough to cover up the original look of the building."

7 West Taphouse specializes in quick-speed burgers and will seat 60-70 people at a time.

"A lot of burgers, we focus on quick service. We have a burger press, which can cook a burger in about 150 seconds," Harrington says.

The restaurant will also have 50 craft beers on tap. Harrington says they have all the classic beers, along with unique selections.

"We've gone out of our way to make sure that we still keep the 'comfort beers' and hopefully we can get them to try a few other little things that are easy to drink but are still categorized as a craft beer."

7 West Taphouse will serve food from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m.
