ST. JOSEPH - The College of St. Benedict has received a $1.4 million grant.

The money will be used to fund the Upward Bound program for the next five years.  It's an after-school tutoring program, one day a week, at St. Cloud Tech and Apollo, Sauk Rapids-Rice, and Willmar high schools.  They also have five Saturday sessions throughout the school year.

Students from St. Ben's and St. John's serve as the tutors.

The program began back in 1995.
