ST. JOSEPH - The College of St. Benedict pledges to pray to help fight climate change.

The school has become the first in the state, and just the fourth in the country, to sign on to the Catholic Climate Covenant.

By supporting the pledge, they agree to pray, to learn about and teach others, to assess their own environmental impact, and to reduce the ways they contribute to climate change.

The other three colleges are: Notre Dame, St. Michael's College in Vermont, and Salve Regina in Rhode Island.
