ST. JOSEPH - There's a new student housing development this year at the College of St. Benedict.

Dean of Students Jody Terhaar says it's a complex of townhomes, with a commons area.

Terhaar says it's a new way of living for those students.

Four women will share a two-story townhome, which will also include  front porches and separate entrances, with a shared front yard.

Terhaar says they'll also have access to a community grill, and an outdoor fire pit.  The entire grounds, both inside and out, have wireless access.

The complex is across the street from the main campus.  St. Ben's broke ground on Centennial Commons a year ago.  The total cost of the project, with furnishings, was just over $9.2 million.
