ST. JOSEPH - The College of St. Benedict is breaking ground today (Friday) on a new $7 million student housing complex.

Dean of Students Jody Terhaar says it will be built on the east side of College Avenue, next to the President's house.

Terhaar says with the new requirement that students live on campus all four years, they needed more housing space.  She says the plan also includes a lot of other amenities.

It's expected to be open by August of next year.
