BROOTEN - An overturned truck carrying a load of sweet corn caused a Stearns County road to be shut down for several hours. The Sheriff's Office says it happened at about 5:00 p.m. yesterday (Thursday) on County Road 18, in Crow Lake Township, about three miles south of Brooten.

The tractor trailer was being driven by 22-year-old Steven Ramirez of Belgrade lost about half its load of sweet corn.

The truck had minimal damage, and Ramirez was not hurt.

County Road 18 had to be completely shut down for about four hours while they picked-up the corn.
