Southern Minnesota Man Dies After Canoe Capsizes
MADISON LAKE (AP) — Authorities in Blue Earth County say a canoe carrying two men capsized on Madison Lake, and one man apparently drowned.
The two men were canoeing Saturday night. Their craft tipped over, throwing both men into the water. Neither was wearing a life preserver.
Thirty-nine-year-old Rahmondo Moore of Madison Lake died of apparent drowning. His body was recovered three hours later.
The other man was 30-year-old Michael Grisson of Madison Lake. He was able to swim to shore and call for help.
The sheriff's department says alcohol is believed to be a factor.
