(AP) MINNEAPOLIS --  A person with knowledge of the situation tells reports that Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will meet with the NFL on Tuesday to discuss his playing status.

The person spoke Monday to the AP on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information.

Peterson was suspended under the NFL's personal conduct policy through at least April 15 due to a child abuse case involving his young son, a decision he appealed. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he planned to meet with Peterson before that date to determine his status.
