MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - "Sleepless in Minneapolis." That's just one of the tweets from city residents upset by post-midnight fireworks shot off after the All-Star Gala in downtown Minneapolis.

The invitation-only event was scheduled to start after the Home Run Derby at Target Field. But, rain delayed the derby by an hour. Organizers expected the fireworks to be launched about 10 p.m. But, they didn't go off until nearly 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Some residents who complained on Twitter used the hashtag "bragmnpls" set up by Mayor Betsy Hodges to encourage citizens to brag about the city.

"I bet your city isn't setting off fireworks in the middle of the night," one person tweeted. "Not sleeping. Not bragging" another post said.
