BURTRUM – The Todd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a car and snowmobile collision around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night.

The crash happened on County Road 104 near 321st Avenue in Burnhamville Township.

The snowmobiler, Joel Tesch from Long Prairie, failed to yield to a Pontiac Bonneville driven by Brittany Poegel of Swanville. Poegel couldn’t avoid hitting the snowmobile when it was in the traffic lane.

Tesch was treated by Long Prairie Ambulance at the scene and released with minor injuries. The Arctic Cat snowmobile he was driving was a total loss.

Poegel and her passenger were not hurt during the crash.
