MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Winter is back in the Twin Cities after a storm dumped up to 6 inches of snow in parts of the metro area Friday night.

Snow totals Saturday morning ranged from 3.6 inches at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to 6 inches in Little Canada, Circle Pines and Farmington.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported 310 crashes statewide overnight. Thirty-nine accidents involved injuries and one person died in a crash in Blue Earth County.

The snow was expected to taper off by midday Saturday with colder temperatures on tap for the next few days, including below-zero temperatures overnight Monday and Tuesday.
