KIMBALL -- As we await for mother nature to cover the ground in a blanket of white, Powder Ridge has been working hard to get the slopes ready to open this weekend.

Owner Jerry Wahlin says they have been preparing since the end of the season last year to get ready for this weekend.

While some snow has already fallen this year temperatures haven't been right to keep it on the ground which means work from the snow guns are needed.

Wahlin says they typically try to open the hill the day before Thanksgiving but with the holiday coming later in the year they decided now was the right time.

Wahlin says whether you ski or not there is still lots to do.

Powder Ridge will open tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
