A Few Rounds of Showers, Storms Possible This Weekend

UNDATED - A couple of waves of thunderstorms are expected today.

First will be this morning from western into central Minnesota.

This afternoon, a strong cap will keep thunderstorms suppressed. With mainly sunny skies, temperatures will again make a run for 90.

This evening, a line of thunderstorms will come out of the Dakotas and move across the area overnight.

There could be a few severe storms with this activity, with damaging winds being the primary threat.
