ST. CLOUD -- Day two of Granite City Days opened today with kicks and flips in the 6th annual Game of Skate Event.

"Game of Skate is a head to head tournament bracket style with kids going against each other," says Mike Thienes.

The event was held at Heritage Park, at the Skate Plaza, as a way to not only provide the skaters with some fun, but a way to help keep the park maintained.

"It's a five dollar cover to compete and the money goes back into the fund for next year as well as help maintain the park," says Thienes.

Skaters compete in a two man competition where the game is played like P.I.G in basketball. One skater does a trick and they other tries to answer.

There are three different age groups-- a 14 and under, 15 and older and an open skate bracket. Within each age group prizes are award to the top skater.
