Six-Year-Old Sartell Girl Makes it to Final Round in National Cooking Contest
SARTELL - A six-year-old Sartell girl has made it into the final round of voting in a cooking contest to win a $30,000 makeover for her cafeteria.
1st grade Pine Meadow Elementary student Kaitlyn Reichel has been creating cooking videos with her Mom for the Uncle Ben’s Rice Beginners contest. Families can win $15,000 plus $30,000 for a school cafeteria makeover. The contest encourages kids to learn healthy cooking habits.
The top 25 were announced on Tuesday with Kaitlyn making it to the next round. Voting has started again and will go through November 30th. After the voting ends, five of the 25 finalists will be named grand prize winners.
