Shots Fired from Suburban in Stearns County
STEARNS COUNTY – Two men are jailed after allegedly firing a gun at a car and then leading police on a short chase.
Officers were called to the intersection of County Road 9 and County Road 151 in Holding Township on Saturday at about midnight.
The victim reported being shot at by a group of people in a brown Suburban. Deputies attempted to intercept the suspected vehicle, but the driver refused to pull over.
The Suburban then weaved through both lanes of traffic before running off the road and eventually stopping near St. Wendel. All four occupants were removed from the vehicle.
The driver, 20 year old Jacob Whalen of Long Prairie, was arrested for fleeing police, and a passenger, 20 year old Keith Kern of Swanville, was arrested for three counts of second degree assault. Both were arrested.
The incident is under investigation.
