Short Police Chase Ends in Crash, Arrest
ST. CLOUD — A short police chase ended in a crash and an arrest Monday.
St. Cloud Police saw a car parked in a lot in the 1500 block of Highway 10 at about 9:35 a.m. When the officer tried to make contact with the driver, he allegedly took off.
Police say the driver was 21-year-old Seth Wallin of St. Cloud. Wallin was wanted on a 5th degree drug warrant and unrelated domestic abuse no contact order.
Police pursued the car on the Highway 10 Frontage Road and then on to 15th Avenue Southeast before abandoning the chase because of Wallin’s erratic driving.
Dispatch received a call moments later that Wallin had crashed his car into a tree in the 1500 block of Second Street South.
Police say he tried to flee on foot but was caught by responding officers. Officers say he was found with a small amount of methamphetamine on him.
