Shirley Anne Dominik, 86, St. Cloud formerly of Sartell

December 5, 1929 - June 28, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Friday, July 1, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Shirley Dominik, who died Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Tim Baltes will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 9:30-11AM at the church in Sartell. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Shirley was born in St. Cloud to Carl Daniel & Hedwig Johanna (Kiklas) Moline. She married John “Jack” Dominik on September 3, 1962 at St. John’s Abbey Church in Collegeville. Shirley was a homemaker and mother. Raising her five children, cooking, sewing, and being a support network was her life. She was a very talented person in so many ways; she could always figure out something in her own way. She was an artistic person and loved to spend time gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles, and reading. She would read everything she could get her hands on. She was also a dark chocolate and fudge lover. It had to be dark chocolate; milk chocolate just didn’t cut it.

Survivors include her children, John Paul (Ann) Dominik of Burnsville; Susie (Scott) Crowell of Burnsville; Emily (Jim) Heimerl of Burnsville; Julie Dominik of St. Cloud; and Joann Richardson of St. Cloud; sister, Lorraine (Eugene) Skelton of St. Cloud; brother, Larry (Mary) Moline of St. Cloud; and four grandchildren: Rhiannon, John “Jack”, Riley, and Jemma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, and brothers Carl Daniel Jr., William, and James.
