COTTAGE GROVE (AP) — Sheryl Crow drew a crowd of nearly 15,000 bundled-up fans who brought food and cash for local food banks to a free holiday concert in Minnesota.

Saturday night's event in the St. Paul suburb of Cottage Grove was part of the cross-country Canadian Pacific Holiday Train tour. In addition to the donations fans brought to the concert, Canadian Pacific pledged $125,000 to help feed hungry families.

The nine-time Grammy-winning musician played for a full hour despite the cold, telling the crowd from the boxcar stage that she's always been a train fan.

Since 1999, Canadian Pacific's Holiday Trains have raised about $7.4 million and collected about 3 million pounds of food for local food shelves on their annual trips across North America.
