ST. CLOUD -- The criminal sexual conduct trial of a Stearns County sheriff's sergeant has been pushed back to January. Phil Meemken's trial was previously scheduled to start in Anoka County October 3rd.

A Stearns County judge recently ruled the trial should be moved out of Stearns County because of pre-trial publicity.

Meemken is accused of 22 counts of criminal sexual conduct and two counts of providing alcohol to minors. He is accused of getting the teenagers drunk and performing sex acts on them.

Meemken was in charge of the sheriff's Explorer program and according to court records at least two of the victims were members of that group.

Meemken remains on paid administrative leave pending his January 23rd trial.
