Sheriff: Pierz Man Falls Asleep While Driving, Hits Power-Pole

MORRISON COUNTY - Authorities say a Pierz man was hurt when he crashed his vehicle into a power-pole early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened just after 12:45 a.m. on 260th Avenue, near Buckman.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Tyler Gulden of Pierz was driving north on 260th Avenue, when he fell asleep. His vehicle went off the road just south of 93rd Street, entered a ditch and hit a power-pole.

Gulden was taken by ambulance to the hospital for his injuries.

Royalton Police, The State Patrol, Pierz First Response Team, Pierz Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance all helped the Morrison County Sheriff's Department at the scene.
